Philippe Kohly’s feature-documentary Callas Assoluta will premiere in Venice as a Special Event of the Official Selection (Orizzonti section), before having its North-American premiere in Toronto within the Real to Reel section.

Toronto will also be the place of L’Amour Caché’s world premiere, a film by Alessandro Capone starring Isabelle Huppert, Greta Scatchi, Olivier Gourmet and Mélanie Laurent. The film will also be in competition at Rome Film Fest.

After its competition slot in Sundance, Zoe Cassavetes’s debut feature Broken English will have its French premiere in competition in Deauville at the American Film Festival.

Backup Films is also proud to announce Jean-Pierre Limosin’s Young Yakuza’s selection at San Sebastian’s Zabaltegi, while Christophe Honoré’s Love Songs will have its North American premiere in Toronto, within the Vanguard section. Both films were co-financed by Backup Films' Coficup film fund.
